World's Most Beautiful and Most Savage Triathlon!
Deep Creek Lake and the pristine, rugged Allegheny Mountains of western Maryland, provide a venue of unmatched beauty
and stunning scenery, and feature two courses that will certainly bring out the true "Savage" in all who come to conquer, from the competitive Ironman racer to the leisurely
back-of-the-pack or novice participant. Whether swimming in the crystal clear Deep Creek Lake, riding
the smooth, remote, and challenging roads of Garrett County, or running on Deep Creek State Park trails and the surrounding lakeside roads,
the SavageMan Triathlon Festival races will challenge and awe every participant.
Feedback from the inaugural Savages was overwhelmingly positive and the word is out about this one-of-a-kind triathlon event.

Are You Savage Enough?
How hard is the SavageMan really? Am I Savage Enough?
That is a question only you can answer. The bike course of the SavageMan Half is extreme and is legitimately the toughest 56 mile bike in triathlon with 5800 feet of climbing nearly all gained in the middle 30 miles and 7 climbs with pitches in excess of 15%. It is a course that leaves no one unimpressed and no one unhappy, but it is also a course not to underestimate.
The SavageMan International, on the other hand, is a course designed for the more mainstream triathlete. A "Garrett County flat" and rolling bike - with one steep climb included to earn the SavageMan pedigree - and a gentle, rolling run deliver a SavageMan race with all the beauty and just a small sampling of the hills!
